Puma Evospeed Sprint 9

In at #5 is the Puma Evo Speed Sprint 9. For the price, these are a great pair of cheap sprint spikes. The upper part of the shoe is made from a microfiber one piece. Which means it’s just one piece of material running from the front of the shoe all the way to the back. This gives a completely seamless construction which means it won’t cause any irritation. I thought this was the main reason why these bikes are so comfortable.

The spikes use a PEBAX Spike plate, Which is great for any sprint or hurdles event you may be taking part in. It is also home to 8 Spikes which come with a truncated style pin. This gives the maximum amount of traction as well as fantastic spring from the track.

The length of this spike plate runs down past the midsole, before gradually turning into strong padded material for the heel. This is also home to a very small spiked area for more traction for walking around in damp, wet conditions. Many track spike manufacture’s forget about this and it can become dangerous walking around in the spikes.

The Puma Evo Speed Sprint 9 are also for the best part is waterproof. Obviously, if it is absolutely thrashing it down and you’re wearing socks that they will be coming down over time. But as we mentioned earlier because the upper part of the shoe is one material this reduces the chance of water getting into the shoe.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row padding_top=”0px” padding_bottom=”30px” bg_color=”#6dbdf9″ bg_video=”” class=”spike-container” style=””][vc_column fade_animation_offset=”45px” id=”adidas” class=”” style=”” css=”.vc_custom_1523138734762{background-color: #6dbdf9 !important;border-radius: 5px !important;}” el_class=”spike-container”][vc_column_text]

Asics Hypersprint 7

The Asics Hypersprint 7 Are a fantastic all-around pair of sprint spikes. The upper part of the shoe is made from a synthetic material Which does allow a slight stretching when the foot is under maximum load while sprinting. As this is a very thin and durable material it also offers maximum weight reduction for the shoe.

One thing I always like about the Asics spikes is they have fantastic heel protection. And the Asics Hypersprint 7 is no different.

Just like the Puma spikes we mentioned above, the heel of these spikes isn’t plastic. Which means again On slippery services whilst walking you don’t constantly feel like you’re about to fall over.

The spike plate is home to 5 threaded holes for the spikes to be screwed in. They have been meticulously placed to give you the best traction despite having fewer spikes compared to other shoes.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row padding_top=”0px” padding_bottom=”30px” bg_color=”#6dbdf9″ bg_video=”” class=”spike-container” style=””][vc_column fade_animation_offset=”45px” id=”adidas” class=”” style=”” css=”.vc_custom_1523138748309{background-color: #6dbdf9 !important;border-radius: 5px !important;}” el_class=”spike-container”][vc_column_text]

Puma Evospeed Disc Sprint Spikes

A great way of picking up the spikes slightly cheaper is by going for a previous year’s model. This is why I have chosen in the this particular version of the Puma Evospeed Disc Sprint Spikes.

You can save yourself £20-£30 quite easily as usually the only thing that is changed between the spikes from year to year are the colours. And if you’re fine with the turning up to the track in last year’s colours then this is a fantastic way of saving a lot of money every year.

On the inside of the spikes, it is lined with a soft material which runs the length of the foot, it also actively removes moisture for fast drying comfort. This also gives a great soft feel for optimum support and comfort if you choose to wear these spikes barefoot.

One of the main selling points of the Puma Evospeed Disc Sprint Spikes is the Disc Fit system. With this system, you can be ready to go within seconds. All you do is place your foot in the shoe and turn the disk, the wire system will tighten the upper part of the shoe, which provides a customised fit.

And let’s finish off this brief this Description of Puma Evospeed Disc Sprint Spikes By saying these spikes were worn by the greatest athlete of all time Usain Bolt.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row padding_top=”0px” padding_bottom=”30px” bg_color=”#6dbdf9″ bg_video=”” class=”spike-container” style=””][vc_column fade_animation_offset=”45px” id=”adidas” class=”” style=”” css=”.vc_custom_1523138742008{background-color: #6dbdf9 !important;border-radius: 5px !important;}” el_class=”spike-container”][vc_column_text]

Adidas Sprintstar Track & Field Spikes

Adidas Sprintstar Track and Field Spikes come with a Reinforced mesh upper. This means its material on the top of the shoe is breathable for maximum ventilation which means your feet will be comfortable on those hot summer track days.

The Spikes also has a synthetic overlay which is designed to hold the foot securely for every part of the sprinting events.

There is a soft collar around the top part of the foot which means it offers greater support and reduces the pressure on the ankle and Achilles. I’m sure many sprinters will tell you having a sore Achilles can ruin the enjoyment for any athlete. But the spikes will give you the best opportunity for training and racing and manage such injury.

The track shoe also has a pebax Spike plate.  Which will give you fantastic energy return from the force you put into the track. As I mentioned in my Best Sprint Spikes for 2020 article. You spend hours training on the track and in the gym so you do not want any wasted energy from your chosen pair of spikes.

It is also currently the best selling Adidas spike on Amazon.

Adidas Adizero Finesse

Again like I mentioned with the Puma Spikes, You can pick up great bargains for topline spikes by just buying slightly older versions of the current shoe. Manufacturers tend to update the spikes every 5 to 6 years. This means literally nothing changes on the shoes apart from the colours. It really is a great way of getting hold of cheap sprint spikes.

Each year that passes the price will fall, Which means if you don’t mind running in a pair of spikes which are a different colour to the current newer version. Then you can literally save yourself huge amounts of money.

I have always tended to opt for this option because I like to refresh my spikes every six months so they feel as new as possible for every indoor and outdoor season. It would be very expensive for me to keep going out and purchasing The flagship track and field spikes for that year, So I always go for a slightly older version to save money.

And this is why you can pick up this version of the Adidas Adizero Finesse spikes for next to nothing compared it to the 2018 colours.

And to be fair they are so similar between these two years that you can barely tell the difference unless you’re standing next to the athlete.
