Adidas Adizero Finesse Review

Let’s dive into the Adidas Adizero Finesse Review

So, if you’re reading this, I’m guessing you’re after an Adidas Adizero Finesse Review. And right off the bat, I’m going to say these are one of my favourite spikes I have ever used for training and racing. Below, I will go into great detail about why that is the case.

What comes with the Adidas Adizero Finesse

  • Includes compression-tiered spikes and a spike key.
  • The spike plate is SPRINTFRAME, designed for technical sprinters and curve-specific running.
  • The inside of the spike is made from Microsuede. This allows for an unbelievable amount of comfort while increasing strength in areas of the spike, which takes the most pressure from the repetitive nature of running.
  • Low energy loss from putting maximum levels of force into the track.
  • A synthetic upper provides excellent support for the foot & maintaining an overall lightweight.
  • The spike plate is only 1.3mm.
  • The spikes only weigh 99g for a UK size 8 – which is one of the lightest spikes you can purchase.

Advantages of the Adidas Finesse Sprint Spikes

The Adidas Adizero Finesse sprint spikes are probably my favourite spikes of all time. I found them comfortable with fantastic support. These are significant all-around sprinting spikes, as they are great for running around the bend and in a straight line.

Can you use Adidas Finesse Sprint Spikes for Hurdles?

In short, Yes. Many athletes on TV and at local events wear the Adidas Finesse Sprint Spikes. Depending on your style of hurdling, if you leave your trail leg toe dangling, it can take a bit of a beating as the upper part of the shoe is not as built up as other spikes. But if this is no issue for you then they would make excellent spikes for hurdling.

Adidas Finesse vs Adidas Accelerator

These spikes are very similar, but they do have their individual selling points. Due to the shoe’s structure, the Adidas Accelerator would be better suited for 60, 100m & 110m hurdle athletes. This is due to the spike plate’s more aggressive nature and the more supportive upper.

The Adidas Finesse, as I mentioned above, is better suited for athletes running events which require them to run around the bend (curve if you’re from the US). This is because I found them much more comfortable while sprinting around the bend.

How they look

The main difference between the spikes on looks is the strap across the upper part of the Accelerator spikes. Apart from that, the spikes are very similar.

Adidas Adizero Finesse Review Conclusion

To summarise what I’ve spoken about above, you can’t go wrong with the Adidas Adizero Finesse Spikes. I absolutely love them. Even if you’re a sprinter specialising in a specific event, these will be perfect for you from 60 m up to 400m, including the hurdles.

Because of the neutral balance of the spikes And having a slightly less aggressive spike plate than the other spikes I’ve reviewed, they are one of the best track spikes for 400m you can buy.
